125 Years of Kapsch

Text: Benjamin Berggold; Fotos: Kapsch

2017 marked for Kapsch the year of the 125th company anniversary. We were tasked with organising the gala at the Vienna Konzerthaus. Nine months of planning time resulted in a memorable celebration for 1,400 guests. To kick off the night, Julian Turner was awarded the 2017 Kapsch Contemporary Art Prize. His Vaporetto bar and the cocktail he created specifically for this purpose were a hit with the guests. Teodor Currentzis and his orchestra MusicAeterna provided the musical highlight in the Great Hall of the Konzerthaus. 125 years of history showcased across all rooms of the venue allowed guests to stroll through the company’s history and into the future. Each hall of the Konzerthaus was dedicated to a different era, recreated by set design, original artefacts from the KAPSCH Museum and sounds. An outstanding night with the motto “125. The Night of Dedication”.
